Getting There
Naukuchiatal is located about 22 kilometres from Nainital and can be easily reached by road. The nearest railway station is in Kathgodam, which is well-connected to major cities like Delhi and Dehradun. From Kathgodam, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Naukuchiatal.
We however drove ourselves to Naukuchiatal from New Delhi ( well laid roads ) , however for local sightseeing, we hired a taxi to avoid parking botheration etc.

The best time to visit Naukuchiatal is from March to June and then again from September to November when the weather is pleasant, and the surroundings are lush green. Avoid visiting during the monsoon season, as the region receives heavy rainfall.
