Azure and other Shades of Blue – For Urban Women

Azure and other Shades of Blue – For Urban Women

Azure and other Shades of Blue
Waking up every morning and being greeted with a bright Crayola Blue (#1F75FE) sky with no overcast clouds is such an amazing feeling. I wish every day was like this in Gippsland (we are lucky enough to have this on three consecutive days per week!).

What reminds you of the color blue?

Aside from the sky and the sea, it is also associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence.

But sometimes, blue also represents coldness (like the Ice Blue #99FFFF) depending on someone’s perception of it. Hence, the song ‘Bluer Than Blue’ means sadness.

It can also be associated with a bright summer in the Mediterranean Region, hence the color shades of blue named such as Azure (#007FFF), Aqua (#00FFFF), Aquamarine (#7FFFD4), Capri (#00BFFF), Cerulean (#2a52be), Cyan (#00FFFF), Deep Sky Blue (#00BFFF), Dolphins Aqua (#008E97), Light Blue Sky (#87CEFA), Periwrinkle (#CCCCFF), and Pacific Blue (#1ca9c9), to name a few.

The color blue has been known for decades as a masculine color, the darker blue is associated with depth, knowledge, power, stability, and expertise, no wonder it is the favorite color for many corporate businesses.

In my personal opinion, the shades of blue gave me a calming effect, and a motivation to be creative in my chosen passions, while not feeling the stress and anxiety of uncertainty.

It is also my happy color, and lucky color according to Feng Shui as it represents the element of water and abundance.

No wonder I feel attracted to this City Chic puff-sleeved dress, which also compliments my natural skin tone. Wearing this makes me feel like “I’m ready for my summer getaway, so book that flight now, baby!”

This dress also has deep pockets on both sides, which makes this dress even better to wear. They designed it very mindfully, with demure aesthetics.

I know that City Chic caters exclusively to plus-sized clientele and although I’m in size 10, I love shopping for clothes one to two sizes up because it gives me more comfort, and is surprisingly easy to style and layer up with my other clothes. Here I’m wearing the Size 12, and this dress is fully lined, and with a horsehair braid hemline for shape which is awesome!
