Desenio raises money for mental health.

The role of art and its therapeutic potential is the focus of a new collection being launched by Desenio in May 2025. Art for a Cause brings together unique pieces by artists from around the world in an eclectic and beautiful collection, focusing on mental health.
The special collection not only showcases inspiring artworks from global artists but also contributes to raising awareness and providing resources for mental wellbeing, with a percentage of sales being donated to The Art Therapy Project.

Each sale helps towards more art therapy provision

The Art Therapy Project is a NYC-based non-profit organisation that’s dedicated to providing free group art therapy to clients of all ages, backgrounds, and communities. Their valuable work allows clients to feel connected and inspired while exploring their personal mental health journeys. To date, they have helped over 12,000 people improve their quality of life with art therapy.

Martha Dorn, Executive Director at The Art Therapy Project, says: “We’re excited to collaborate with Desenio on the Art for a Cause campaign. As like-minded organizations, we believe that creating art, observing it, and surrounding yourself with it can have powerful therapeutic benefits. At The Art Therapy Project, we provide group art therapy in a safe, inclusive space for those in need of mental health services. With Desenio’s generous support, we’re making art therapy more accessible to the communities who need it most.”

A cause close to Desenio’s heart

Annica Walin, Executive Creative Director at Desenio says, “Art has the power to heal, connect, and give voice to what words sometimes can’t express. That’s why this project means so much to us. Art for a Cause is more than a collection — it’s a way for us, together with our community of artists, to support mental health through creativity. We’re proud to collaborate with The Art Therapy Project and contribute to the important work they do every day. This is a cause close to our hearts — and we hope it touches yours too.”

30+ Featured Artists present new work on the theme of mental health

With over thirty artists contributing work to Art for a Cause, there’s a range of figurative, abstract, and photographic art. Despite coming from different parts of the globe, each artist is motivated to shed more light on the importance of talking about mental health.

Maxime Rokus, a Dutch artist whose work features in the collection, says:

“Art is a bridge between emotion and expression. It gives shape to feelings that might otherwise remain hidden and offers comfort simply by existing.”

While Space Frog Designs, based in the United States, believes everyone can benefit from exploring their creativity:

“I’m hoping this project will inspire people to give artistic expression a chance to help them work through hard times, you don’t have to be an artist.”

Contribute by buying beautiful art

A percentage of the profit from the Art for a Cause collection will be donated to The Art Therapy Project to help more clients access art therapy and support their mental health. And with uplifting artworks by such a range of talented artists, there should be something for everyone in the collection.
