Exploring the World’s Most Scenic Routes and Travel Roads

Posted on October 23, 2024 By Rehan No Comments on Exploring the World’s Most Scenic Routes and Travel Roads

Today we’d like to tell you about the most scenic routes and travel roads. Many people know that we enjoy driving and have traveled many roads around the world, both beautiful and not-so-beautiful. So it’s time to share our thoughts on the most scenic and impressive roads in the world. In this article, we will not only list these beautiful roads, but also explain what they are, what you can see while driving along them, and how to plan your route. Let’s go!

Introduction

There is no better way to get to know a country than by driving its roads. We have the freedom to move and be independent because we built the route ourselves! Traveling allows you to see a country with all of its flaws and strengths, which is also a very beneficial experience. We are used to traveling by car because we own one. If you don’t own a car, you can always rent one from a major rental company. We did this in the United States, Thailand, and several other countries. We’ve also rented a motorcycle several times, including in Cambodia. Myanmar, Laos, and Easter Island.

The same goes for cell phone service. Do you remember how it used to be? It was not so easy to buy a SIM card abroad. And those exorbitant roaming charges? Everything is much simpler now. On the advice of friends, we simply bought an eSIM. Yes, it is a Virtual SIM card, which some people also call a Travel SIM card, although the wording is not quite correct, of course, but it is probably easier for some people to understand. In general, it is a Prepaid Data SIM card, which is provided by eSIM Service esim-today. It is very convenient to use because all you need to activate it is an iPhone or Android smartphone with an App Store or Play Market. Just install the app and you’ll get your virtual number and even a built-in VPN. So, now we move on to the most scenic routes and travel roads.

Grand Circle

One of the most memorable trips in the United States is to the Wild West, including the national parks of Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and California. Stone bridges and arches, massive monuments standing in the middle of the desert, the vast Grand Canyon, the fabulous Antelope Canyon, unforgettable hikes among the hoodoos, and the lowest and driest place in the United States – the Badwater salt marsh in Death Valley.

  • When to go: To avoid the summer heat and tourist crowds during vacation season and school vacations, travel these routes in the spring or, better yet, fall;
  • Note: If you include some of California’s national parks, such as Sequoia and Yosemite, in your itinerary, your US tour will become even more spectacular.

Pacific Coast Highway

California’s most beautiful road along the Pacific coast, Route 1, also known as Pacific Coast Highway, is every romantic’s dream. To ride in the breeze along the ocean, past famous beaches, and small California towns. Would you like that? We would.

  • When to go: Spring (to see the wildflowers bloom), summer, or early fall;
  • Attractions: McVey Falls, Bixby Bridge, and the scenic 17-mile Drive along the Pacific Coast in Monterey.

Oahu Scenic Drive

Oahu is Hawaii’s capital island and the destination for the majority of tourists. Nonetheless, the island is stunningly beautiful, and there is plenty to see. The main thing is to avoid spending too much time on Waikiki’s main beach and instead take a car to explore the island. It is preferable to fly to Hawaii from Los Angeles.

  • When to go: The peak season (December through March) is good, but the off-season (mid-April to mid-June and September through mid-December) is preferable;
  • Gorgeous roads: Pali Highway (Hwy 61), Kamehameha Highway (Hwy 83), and Kalaniana’ole Highway (Hwy 72);
  • Attractions: Diamond Head Volcano, Kailua Beach Park, Kualoa Regional Park, Waimea Bay, and the Old Cliff Road. Nu’uanu pali.

Mae Hong Son Loop

Thailand has long been a beach vacation hotspot. Can you see the real Thailand on the beaches? No. For a cultural experience, travel to the north, where authentic life persists.

  • When to go: December through February, during the cool season;
  • Beautiful roads: Mountain Highway 1095 (762 turns) from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, as well as Highways 107 and 108;
  • Attractions: Numerous temples in Chiang Mai, hot springs in Pai, Tam Lod Cave in Soppong, Ban Rak Tai (Mae Au) Tea Village, temples in Mae Hong Son, the World War II Museum in Kun Yuam, Tung Bua Tong Sunflower Field, Mae Surin Waterfall, Thailand’s tallest waterfall, and Doi Inthanon National Park.

Canadian Rockies and Lakes

We provide two route options that will take you not only through the mountains but also through prairies and picturesque valleys with crystal-clear lakes.

Route 1

Through Canada’s rocky mountains in the states of British Columbia and Alberta. There are approximately 1200 kilometers. It is best to go in the summer or early fall. In the autumn, colorful colors are added, but the number of tourists in the parks decreases. The trip lasts one week.

Route 2

Across Canada’s Badlands, Prairies, and Lakes from Calgary to Toronto. The total distance is approximately 4500 kilometers. We recommend that you go in the summer or early fall. The trip will last two to three weeks. Attractions include Banff National Park, Lake Louise, and Lake Moraine.

Conclusion

Whether you’re driving along coastal highways or navigating mountain loops, each journey promises unforgettable moments. So, plan your route, pack your bags, and hit the road for an adventure you’ll cherish forever.
