In a market with high-tech e-bikes coming up with more and more gadgets, Priority Bicycles has launched the Glide—a pared-down electric model aimed squarely at the casual, everyday rider. The Glide is a new addition to the brand’s lineup of low-maintenance, belt-driven bikes, offering a modest yet functional feature set intended to make urban commuting and neighborhood riding more accessible.
Building on the framework of its earlier E-Classic Plus model, the Glide incorporates a number of updates that reinforce its ease-of-use philosophy. It features a lightweight aluminum step-over frame designed for quick mounting and dismounting, paired with Priority’s hallmark Gates Carbon belt drive. This system replaces the traditional chain with a grease-free, rust-resistant belt, reducing both mess and required maintenance.
The electric assist comes from a 350W front hub motor powered by a removable 374Wh battery housed within the downtube. Riders can toggle between three levels of pedal assist or use a thumb throttle for an added boost. Unlike many e-bikes equipped with mid-drive motors or complex shifting systems, the Glide opts for a simple Shimano Nexus 3-speed internal gear hub, favoring simplicity and durability over performance tuning.

The bike also comes equipped with integrated front and rear lights, 700c x 38mm puncture-resistant tires, composite fenders, and an upright geometry that emphasizes comfort over aerodynamics. The result is a ride tailored for errands, short commutes, or leisurely outings—without the steep learning curve or maintenance concerns of higher-spec e-bikes.
With an emphasis on practical features rather than advanced tech, the Glide appears to be aimed at new or returning cyclists who may be wary of more complex e-mobility solutions. Its straightforward design and modest motor specs won’t appeal to those looking for high speeds or off-road capabilities, but that’s not the point. Instead, the Glide represents a deliberate return to basics—with just enough power to make daily rides easier and more enjoyable.
The Priority Glide is now available at $1,799, with a limited-time launch discount bringing the price to $1,399 through Aug. 4.
